Learning is Tiring

I purchased two learning toys for my kids. One for my son and one for my daughter. They are both Leap Frog. One is suppose to be kind of like a "Smartphone" for texting, but you're learning and there is no phone. It's cute. That was for my son. The other one is a great little learning item that shows a child how to write letters one line at a time, they just have to follow the light and then at the end of it, they have their letter. That's for my daughter.
Needless to say, my children like each others' learning toy. Never fails!
The Boy loves to sit on our kitchen floor while I'm doing things in there, like attempting to cook, and draw with the toy. He's totally not using it correctly, he just likes that he can draw, and that it has lights and music. He's content. Sitting. On our floor. In the Kitchen. Go figure.

Of course, learning can be hard work. Very tiring. How can anyone be expected to keep learning without a bit of a break. A snooze. Just a moment to relax and unwind. You all wish you could do the same while at work, right? Kids at school would love to take a 20 minute rest after a long class, right? I know. Well The Boy is no different. Notice how he still has the pen in his hand, though. He's all business, even while resting his brain from all that learning. Ah, to be almost 2 again.

Simple pleasures of sitting on Mom's kitchen floor, hanging out, playing with all the latest gadgets while Mommy cooks, or cleans. This is the life! And to think, his big sister is excited to go to school and learn. Who would have thought!
