Family Fun Mystic

My family @ The Dinosaur Place
Over there on my other blog, the one I write for the frugal minded, I got the chance to review a few things up in Mystic, Connecticut. I was asked to choose a couple of dates to travel up to the Mystic area and participate in some activities of my choice, along with an overnight stay at a hotel - all paid for by NOT ME!
I gave them some dates, they shot back availability and BOOM, we were off on 4th of July weekend. Of course, The Boy decided he wanted to start potty training while we were away. We hit EVERY SINGLE public facility in the Mystic area......surprisingly, pretty clean. Even the Cross Sound Ferry - though, there wasn't a good supply of TOILET PAPER on the ride back on Sunday, July 3rd.
Head over to my reviews, they're pretty good if I do say so myself. We had a blast and plan on going back up again next summer when both kids can participate in more activities at The Dinosaur Place. We'll also stop at Ocean Beach Park - BEAUTIFUL and the pool is HUGE, in case you don't want to swim in the Sound.

There's four posts, enjoy every one of them:
Family Fun Mystic - Cross Sound Ferry Adventure
Family Fun Mystic - Ocean Beach Park FUN TIMES
Family Fun Mystic - Groton Inn & Suites FREE OVERNIGHT STAY
Family Fun Mystic - The Dinosaur Place Extravaganza

If you've got kids younger than 8, they'll love The Dinosaur Place. Any kid will LOVE Ocean Beach Park. The beach, boardwalk, pool, splash park and HUGE SLIDES are fantastic on a beautiful day. If you're traveling with kids, I'd recommend finding a hotel with an indoor pool, Groton Inn & Suites doesn't have one. My kids didn't mind, since they just love hotel rooms and this one was like an apartment with two bedrooms, kitchen, living room and a bathroom. And I recommend taking the ferry, you can bring your car along for the ride and it's not a lot of traveling once you get up there. Everything's super close!

Enjoy the reviews!!!
