| Don't let the sweet face fool you, she's TOUGH! |
Not only do I have my Little Miss going to school, but The Boy started PreSchool two afternoons per week. I finally found one that fit his needs, as well as MY NEEDS. A place that allowed me to DROP him off, not hang out and be a part of it. I still shutter at the thought of that whole Parent Participation CO-OP.
Now there's a whole new set of issues with two kids in school. Birthday Parties!
My kids are both November babies. They barely know the kids in their little classes and I'm not into paying a fortune just to invite every kid from BOTH of their classes, that's just insane.
My daughter is turning 5. I decided that even though we will include The Boy in the birthday party, she will be allowed to invite her whole Kindergarten class to her Jiu Jitsu party. The Boy will never know the difference, honestly. I plan on inviting his little buddy, my best pal's son. He'll be content with that.
But man, how do people do it out there? I don't plan on doing this every year, but for her 5th I wanted to do something unique and fun for her. She can show off her moves, everyone can see she can take of herself and perhaps instill in the ENTIRE class "don't mess with Little Miss"-even those little bratty boys who laughed at her at school once.
I didn't think I'd need to worry about behavior like that from BOYS in her class, nor did I plan on having to deal with it in Kindergarten, or anytime before 5th grade.
Here's the real question.....is it wrong for me to hope her classmates fear her? Or is it PURE GENIUS? In my eyes, she won't have to deal with bullies if they know she can take them down! And she totally can.
Picture it, my friends: Little Miss with pink nail polish, a pink headband and her hair in cute pig tails - taking kids twice her size, down!
I totally LOVE to watch her do it. I'm thinking of joining up, too.
