My weekend consisted of having my regular shakes each day, not too many snacks, but I did have meals with my family. On Christmas Eve we celebrated with my parents, siblings and their families and my Nana. There was antipasto (which I had one piece of Turkey from), lots of snacks that included all kinds of onion dip and chive dips. For dinner, it was a buffet of Chicken Parm, Baked Ziti, Chicken with Wine and Salad, plus salad.
I chose, for my Christmas Eve meal: A tiny portion of the homemade Chicken Parm, and a little larger portion of Chicken with Wine and Mushrooms, along with a HUGE salad. Nothing crazy, but totally lovely. I didn't feel left out, or not part of the festivities at all. I just chose to stay clear of the onion dip, chips and other types of dips. I didn't want to pay the price the following day, or even that night....if you know what I mean!
Dessert was a ton of cookies and baked stuff, plus chocolate covered popcorn. I had a bit of the chocolate covered popcorn - popcorn was not overly salty, or buttery. It's popped fresh at the bakery my brother goes to in his neck of the woods. Amazing. Just a little and I was good.
Upon arriving home, after putting the kids to bed, I drank a ton more water and had my IsaFlush!
Now, through the night, I woke up and had a pretty bad pain in my ear and my throat, on the left side by my hurting ear, was sore. So that required me to head to the medicine cabinet for some Liqui-gels. Helped a lot and I was able to sleep again.
Yes, even I get sick once in a while. Not often these days, but it happens. I think my son might have shared his ear infection with me......JOY. Glad I have a physical tomorrow, he can check everything out.
Christmas Day the kids slept relatively late, we were up around 9am. I had my usual shake and Ionix and Cleanse for Life. Then we opened gifts, the kids had some breakfast, I went and got some work done while they hung out checking out their new toys and Daddy took his shower.
Then we headed to my Sister-in-Law's house for the Christmas Day festivities. There was chips and pretzels with dip and mini meatballs she makes, which my husband could eat all day, every day, if he could. I stayed away from all of that, I had no urge to eat any of it. I kept looking at it, pushing myself to "want it", but honestly, I didn't have the urge to pick up a chip or pretzel. GLORY BE! If you knew me, you'd understand the magnitude of this statement. It's rather insane that I didn't want, or crave, the chips and dip. Madness.
I drank a bunch of water, my son napped for a few hours and we ate dinner. It was lasagna with a bit of meat in there, plus meatballs if you desired. I had a small portion of the lasagna (homemade), along with a small meatball and a big bowl of salad with homemade croutons (no bad stuff in them, made from real bread that had gone stale). Delightful.
Dessert was chocolate pudding pie, I had a small piece with whipped cream and I was set.
When I got home, I just drank a bunch more water, had my IsaFlush! and I was good to go. However, my ear and the left side of my throat were bothering me again, so I took Nyquil and went to bed. Broke down and took the Nyquil, terrible, I know, but I really was in a bit of pain.
I woke up this morning ready for my cleanse day. Started off great, and then my parents asked if I'd like to join them for dinner out. I said, normally, yes, but I started my cleanse day and I've been looking forward to it, so I don't want to muck it up. But I also don't want to go and watch everyone else eating.....so we'll have to pass this time.
I was SO DANG proud of myself. Normally I would have said "screw the cleanse, let's head out." But I have been looking forward to my cleanse day, because after a good cleanse, I feel so great the following morning, I just crave that feeling.......and I crave it over the love I have for eating out!
So there you are, Day 21 of my 30-Day Cleansing and Fat Burning System. WAHOOOOO.
Here's to health and much wealth!
