Today we get serious, and profound......well, serious anyway. I'm too pissed off to be profound!
I have mentioned the Disney Cruise vacation we took in July of 2012. It was suppose to be the trip of a lifetime for the kids, which it still was, because I wasn't going to allow Disney's DISGUSTINGLY gross negligence take away from the overall experience. HOWEVER, for our family, what happened to our daughter, was inexcusable, and the Disney Cruise Line doesn't seem to think so.
In order to get my story out there, I shared it in a four part blog series on my main blog, November Sunflower. I never wrote about it here, on this blog.
It's hard for me to write about, even though it happened so many months ago. Mainly, the issue is how Disney Cruise Line seriously thinks my issue is just "feedback" and "a concern." In actuality, they were completely WRONG to do what they did, and then try to brush it under the carpet, because they are part of the Disney family, and are SO BIG, they won't have to worry about ONE KID being put in major danger with the breach in security we caught them in during our cruise out of New York on the Disney Magic boat.
It kills me that they won't listen, because my kids LOVED being on the Disney Cruise boat, and ask all the time when we can go again. However, they always follow it up with "but we never want to go back to that club they have, okay mommy." It kills me every time I have to explain "Disney Cruise Line doesn't want to work with Mommy to try and rectify what happened in the club while we were on the boat, so we can't go on the Disney Cruise until they make the attempt to talk to me, and not ignore me, and the negligence they showed."
I have told them it doesn't mean we don't love Disney, it just means the Disney Cruise Line is run by disgusting human beings, who think that children aren't important, because if one child (or in this case TWO CHILDREN) is put in a harmful situation, it's really not a big deal. It's just a minor thing, and it's not their problem, nor do they have to deal with a distraught mother.
One day we'll be able to visit Disney World again, but if we cruise again it will be on a different cruise ship, until the Disney Cruise Line WAKES UP, and does the right thing and calls our family to discuss what happened, and how POORLY it was handled, and that their cruise director didn't even meet with us on the boat, and how my daughter suffered for months after the situation. Bad dreams, separation anxiety, and a general feeling of fear she was going to be taken away from her family.
The four part series I wrote on the other blog is here if you would like to read about the entire episode for yourself:
