Slippers Go in the Closet

As I have written before, each morning we all pile into my daughter's room to get her ready for the day. First to come off are her slippers and socks. We sit them right next to us on the floor and after we are done getting her dressed, I hand them to her to put them in her closet and pick out the shoes she wants to wear for the day.
Well, I guess The Boy has watched enough to know, her slippers go in her closet. This morning, while the slippers sat next to us, he stopped coloring at her easel, came over, got her slippers and before I knew it, shot over to her closet, opened it and put them away, closed the closet door and came back to get his crayons he left on the floor by us and back over to the easel for some more drawing.
Little Miss and I turned to each other and I said "I guess your brother wanted to help out." She smiled and nodded her head and called over to The Boy "Thanks a lot for the help."
Monkey see, Monkey do. Slippers go in the closet!
Even now, writing this post, I am shaking my head-I still can't believe how "matter of fact" it all was. Of course, two minutes later he grabbed her socks and put them in the closet, too. Guess he doesn't know those go in the hamper! He will, I'm sure. When he does, you'll be the first ones to hear about it after I tell my husband!
