Lessons from Little Miss

It's inevitable, isn't it? Your daughter coming home and schooling you on how to behave.....just glad it wasn't me. She's rough!
After arriving home from my mother's house this evening, my husband was trying to make the bed with our freshly cleaned sheets. While he was hard at work doing that, I was getting the little ones ready for bed and clipping fingernails. You know how much fun that chore is!
I finished up The Boy's nails, was working on Little Miss's nails when I heard my husband tell The Boy to go in the Living Room so Daddy could finish making the bed without The Boy trying to climb up onto the bed. And then the door shut and The Boy came running into the bathroom.
Little Miss, shaking her head comes out with "Did Daddy shut the door on you?" Her brother's answer "Yeah." With vicious nodding happening. "Yeah, yeah." Little Miss looked at me and said "Daddy needs to say he's sorry for shutting the door on him." I chuckled and said "Well, you can tell him that, but I don't think it'll happen."
Once my husband came out of the bedroom, Little Miss was all over him about his behavior. My husband responded with "I asked him to go in the Living Room. He didn't, so I had to shut the door." Little Miss turns to her brother, tells him to apologize for not doing what he was told and then whips around and tells Daddy he needs to apologize for shutting the door on The Boy. And then tells them they have to sit in the time out chair.
I al-most peed in my pants.
How can you not love stuff like that from kids? I asked her where she got this from. Of course, "School, Mommy" was her reply. "I'm the teacher, I guess." And off she went to repeat it over and over and over again until my husband just told her to SSSSHHHHHHH.
Glad it wasn't me this time!
