Earthquake: Did you feel it?

I never would have known Long Island had an Earthquake if it wasn't for Facebook. Honestly, we didn't "have an Earthquake". It was way down in Virginia, but we felt it up here on the Island.
Without Facebook, never would I have known until the news later today, or in tomorrow's paper.
Nothing shook, nothing moved - it was just like every other moment of my life:
The Boy peeing on the potty sitting in the Living Room, Little Miss dancing around the Living Room with her bowl full of peanuts - because we can't dance without having a snack in our hands.
And me, reading the paper while the two of them entertain themselves.
I looked down at my phone to see why it was chirping, I got a few messages on Facebook - an invite to a party, an address being sent from someone who moved......I've got a huge delay with my phone when I'm home.
And so I scrolled through the wall of my profile and saw posts like "Did you feel that?" and "We had an Earthquake" and "My house just shook".
I thought the world was coming to an end and I missed it, or perhaps this was now the "new world" where we still pee on the potty sitting in the Living Room, dance with our peanuts and read the paper.
Whatever happened, I missed it. And I'm glad! My world shakes enough, I don't need any help from Mother Nature! She's kind of a b*tch this Summer!
Though I didn't feel anything, I hope all of you who dealt with it are okay, safe and in good spirits.
Be well!
