My Son Tricked Me

My son. He tricked me. And I'm not amused! Back in July, before we went on a weekend away to Connecticut for our Family Fun Mystic adventure, my son decided he wanted to start potty training. Just like that.
Mommy I want to go "water" on the potty and off came the diaper and shorts, down sat his little white butt. And there it was, "water" on the potty. A few hours later, "I need to do poopy on the potty, Mommy" and off came the diaper and shorts again and BAM, went the poopy in the potty.
Surely I was not seeing this.....my daughter took an entire MONTH back in 2009 to train. Our entire July was spent with my son in the baby swing and my daughter on the potty.

How could this child know what to do already? Watching his sister? Was there a show on TV I wasn't aware of that taught this while I was reading the paper and not paying attention each morning?
Honestly, I did NOT care. I was praising every saint I could remember (which weren't many) for this blessing.
All weekend long, we went to every public potty in Connecticut, along with those on the Ferry. Sure, he had some misses, but he was doing a lot more in the potty than in his diaper. Yes, diaper. I hadn't been able to run out the night before we left to get underwear, so diapers were still being used.
I was on cloud nine, figuring THANK YOU. The torture I endured for Little Miss was now paying off, the world was giving me some good Karma and handing me a The Boy, potty training phenomenon.
That little rat TRICKED ME. We got back, he forgets what to do. Accidents everywhere.....two weeks of torture again. Then finally, three weeks of bliss. And BOOM, the past two weeks I've been knee deep in PEEEEEEEEEEE and I'm not happy. NOT HAPPY.
If he wasn't so damn cute, he wouldn't be living in my house. The house that smells of pee, no matter how much I clean, wash and scrub.......thanks to THE BOY.
