I'm convinced PTA meetings are meant as torture devices for Moms like me

Let me start by stating the obvious: My kids are my entire world. I'd do pretty much anything for both of them, and my sister's kids, and my brother's kids.

With that being said, I'm convinced PTA meetings are meant as torture devices for Moms like me. Yeah, that's right. Moms like me.

  • The Moms who have no desire to listen to their children whine, let alone adult women whine.
  • The Moms who have a low tolerance for bullshit, but have to keep their composure when surrounded by it. Just coming at them from every direction.
  • The Moms who cannot stand other peoples' children, especially when they are obnoxious and can't be quiet, even with their damn tablets to watch movies on, or play games on. (The ones who have iPods, with their ear buds, hanging out patiently - they are awesome kids, and deserve ice cream after the meeting <--- that one's for my friend Jessica, and her little girl, who definitely deserves a huge ice cream cone for being so good last night.)
  • The Moms who just want people who have annoying voices to SHUT THE F-CK UP. Seriously, "the moms" like me can feel their ears starting to bleed the moment you utter one syllable. So BE QUIET.
  • The Moms who sometimes wish their kids could be home schooled, but not by us, because we just don't have the patience to get through Kindergarten and First Grade homework, let alone the crap that has to be taught each day at school, so we could avoid having to be a part of PTA meetings.
It's TORTURE. Sitting there, in a school library, listening to the whining, complaining, moaning and groaning, about how hard all of this PTA work is. Excuses for why we can't do this, or we can't do that. All excuses that have SIMPLE SOLUTIONS, which require no real degree in rocket science. It's just applying common sense, and a little effort!

Seriously, TORTURE. It makes me want to move the kids to a different school in the district, because damn it, we've got such a load of bullshit being fed to us at our school, it's not even funny. Sitting back and taking it, well that's even worse, to The Moms like me.

Who else has this kind of TORTURE happening every month? I know I'm not alone!!!!!
